We greatly respect your privacy, which is why we make every effort to provide a platform that would live up to the highest of user privacy standards. While using our Service, we will ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, the Pro and the Consumer’s email address, name, zip code, credit card details, phone number, postal address, other information (“Personal Information”). In addition, if a Consumer uses WorkizPay to pay for goods and services (currently provided by Stripe), we will collect the Consumer’s name, email address, phone number, postal address, zip code and your credit card details used in the transaction with us. If a Pro decides to make a Sunbit loan product available to a Consumer, we will collect the Consumer’s name, email address, postal address, zip code, credit card details and phone number. If you participate in our referral program, we collect you name and email address. We collect this information for the purpose of providing the Service, including, without limitation, the Stripe payment services and the Sunbit facilitated loans, allowing you to participate in our referral program, and providing you with any rewards in accordance with our referral program terms, identifying and communicating with you, responding to your requests/inquiries, servicing your purchase orders, improving our services and marketing communication. The consequences for not collecting this Personal Information are that we will not be able to provide you with the Services, or as applicable, advise technicians the location of the job, send notifications to Pros, allow you to participate in our referral program and/or process payments (amongst other things).
In addition to the Personal Information mentioned above, users of the Service(s) may provide Workiz with their cell phone number. If users provide their cell phone number, Workiz may use this information to provide support services. The cell phone numbers will be stored on our secure servers. Furthermore, with the user’s consent, Workiz will also use the provided cell phone number to send SMSs and phone calls for marketing purposes.
Users have the option to opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time. To opt out, users can follow the instructions provided in the SMS or phone call, or they can contact Workiz Inc. directly by emailing info@workiz.com indicating their desire to opt out of receiving marketing communications. Please note that even if users opt out of receiving marketing communications, they may still receive non-marketing communications from Workiz related to the provision of Service(s) or support.
Please note that some of the Personal Information will be used for detecting, taking steps to prevent, and prosecution of fraud or other illegal activity, to identify and repair errors, to conduct audits, and for security purposes. Personal Information may also be used to comply with applicable laws, with investigations performed by the relevant authorities, law enforcement purposes, and/or to exercise or defend legal claims. In certain cases, we may or will anonymize or de-identify your Personal Information and further use it for internal and external purposes, including, without limitation, to improve the services and for research purposes. “Anonymous Information” means information which does not enable identification of an individual user, such as aggregated information about the use of our services. This service is provided to facilitate immediate support, guidance, and information retrieval for our users, enhancing their experience on our platform.
In delivering these AI-powered services, Workiz and our trusted AI technology partners, including Ultimate.ai, may collect and process personal data provided during interactions with the AI tools. Hotjar
- We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Once you download the mobile App, the mobile App will request access to your device location. When access is granted, Workiz will be able to track the physical location of your device. This information will be used to provide the Service and to improve our mobile App.
You can remove the App location tracking or change the location tracking permission to a specific time by changing your privacy settings on your device.

(“Plaid”) to gather your data from financial institutions in order to connect your Workiz account with your bank account, verify your bank account and confirm your bank account balance prior to approving a transaction. By using our service, you grant Workiz and Plaid the right, power, and authority to act on your behalf to access and transmit your personal and financial information from your relevant financial institution. You agree to your personal and financial information being transferred, stored, and processed by Plaid in accordance with the Plaid privacy policy.
- Sharing with Third-Party AI Providers: Workiz may share the personal data collected by AI tools with third-party AI technology providers such as Ultimate.ai as necessary to enable the functionalities of these tools. By engaging with our AI-powered services, including the automated chat service, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of personal data as outlined in this policy.
We may use your Personal Information to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send.
When you sign up to receive SMS’s, we will send you text marketing and notifications offers to your cellphone. If you want to unsubscribe from receiving text marketing messages you should reply with a key word (as explained in the SMS that you received – for example, “STOP”) to any mobile message sent from us to use the unsubscribe link we provided you with any of our messages. We reserve the right to charge a fee where permitted by law, for instance if your request is manifestly unfounded or excessive. In the event that your request would adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others (for example, would impact the duty of confidentiality we owe to others) or if we are legally entitled to deal with your request in a different way than initial requested, we will address your request to the maximum extent possible, all in accordance with applicable law.
Deleting your account: Should you ever decide to delete your account, you may do so by emailing info@workiz.com. If you terminate your account, any association between your account and Personal Information we store will no longer be accessible through your account. However, given the nature of sharing on certain services, any public activity on your account prior to deletion will remain stored on our servers and will remain accessible to the public.
We will disclose your Personal Information where required to do so by law or subpoena or if we believe that such action is necessary to comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement or to protect the security or integrity of our Service.
If, in the future, Workiz sell or transfers, or we consider selling or transferring, some or all of our business, shares or assets to a third party, we will disclose your Personal Information to such third party (whether actual or potential) in connection with the foregoing events.
